Description
The Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 60 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, are one of Vietnam’s most fascinating historical sites. This vast underground network—stretching over 250 kilometers—was built by Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War (1955–1975) to serve as living quarters, storage areas, hospitals, and hideouts.
Today, the Cu Chi Tunnels have become a symbol of Vietnamese resilience and ingenuity, offering visitors a chance to crawl through reconstructed tunnels, see wartime traps, and learn about the lives of soldiers who once lived below ground. It’s both educational and deeply moving, giving insight into the country’s wartime history and determination.
